Join us Thursday, May 23rd, for a panel discussion on business development and marketing for design professionals..

We are very pleased to announce that Carol Jones and Edel Naughton would be our panel experts.

Carol is a Principal at Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd. Areas of practice have included hospitals, universities, airports, palaces, public buildings, mixed-use retail developments and corporate facilities. Carol has over 40 years of experience, with a focus on design for the high-performance workplace and her interest in design education has been reflected in teaching appointments at two universities.

Edel is the Marketing Manager for DIALOG Vancouver. She leads a team of Proposal Specialists, a Graphic Designer and a Communication Specialist to deliver all business development and marketing communications efforts for the studio. She has over 10 years of experience marketing professional services, and have worked within the architectural and design industry for the majority of that time.

 

This workshop is for architects and interior designers who want to enhance their business development skills and marketing prowess.

Carol will be discussing about understanding the business of architecture and interior design, the process of networking for business development, and building a sustainable business development culture.  Edel will be putting together how marketing comes into play in all this: marketing communications, storytelling, and the consistency between the firm’s vision and its marketing tools.

The workshop will review strategies for marketing professional services, and introduce fresh ideas for today’s marketplace – why do it, when to do it, how to do it.

  • How to build more productive client relationships.
  • Why network marketing is preferable to process marketing.
  • How to distinguish viable opportunities from worthless pursuits.
  • Details on content and organization of winning proposals.
