We are also extremely pleased to welcome Councillor Andrea Reimer as our keynote speaker. She is a strong voice on the council and in the region for communities and community engagement, transparency, reconciliation, sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility, amongst her other areas of focus.
Councillor Reimer has also led the effort to ensure that gender equality is confirmed through policy at the City Hall, both in terms of civic representation and developing funding for the equitable delivery of services for women and girls in the city. This action came after she voiced her concerns over the all-male make up of the Urban Design Panel, which subsequently was revised to include eight women out of twelve members.
