MARCH EVENT | WIA PECHA KUCHA 2022

Craving a little mid-week excitement?
Join us Thursday, March 24th at WIA’s Pecha Kucha event!
Our 2022 line-up is raring to go. With 20 slides each shown for 20 seconds, presenters will have 400 seconds to share their story – this year, all centering around a common theme: Accountability in Architecture. Featured topics will range from community-driven design, gender inequities, and post-disaster response to BIM standardization, daily diligence in business, and delivering architecture in ever-changing socio-political environments.
The format will be virtual, with a discussion period open to the floor following this year’s presenters:
Narjes (Nadi) Miri – Principal Architect, m+ Architecture | Interior Design
Autumn Sweet – Associate Director [Planning & Design], Architect for Surrey Schools Capital Projects
Carmen Kam – Sociability Research Assistant, Human Studio
Mary Chow – Civic Principal [Sport & Recreation] and Associate Vice President, HDR
Robyn Fenton – Principal Architect and Post-Disaster Liaison, Tectonic Architecture
Miucci Yung – Undergraduate architecture student, UBC
Melanie Robinson – Senior Project Manager, BIM Academy
Kate Robertson – Architect and Registered Heritage Consultant, Ryder Architecture
When: March 24th, 2022 at 6pm – 7:30pm
Where: The format will be virtual, with brief presentations followed by a discussion period open to the floor.
